Msi Driver Update

I recently did an update from windows 7 to windows 8.1 on my hp pavilion g7 notebook and my Hp officejet j6480 all in one. I am getting a staus.msi error and it takes about 15 times before it will close. I have to unplug my printer cord to help the situation.Please help I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it with the full version from your website and it continues to do it.

Not sure that I have the installation disk.What are the steps I need to take to get rid of this problem i am currently in school and use my notebook and printer everday.thank you so any help that is given.
